Piracy
You embrace being the bad guy: intercept, board and steal cargo, accepting the risks.
Player-driven role: There is no pirate career with dedicated missions: it's a role played between players. The game provides the tools (disabling a ship, boarding it, taking its cargo, the Mantis's quantum interdiction) and a place with no UEE police: Pyro. The flip side: CrimeStat in Stanton, and your reputation with Pyro's factions.

To get started
- A combat ship able to disable a target without destroying it
- Understanding CrimeStat: every attack in monitored space makes you wanted
Progression
01 · Getting startedLearn to disable engines and grab the cargo without blowing everything up, preferably in Pyro.
Examples : Cutlass Black

02 · Stepping upGroup interdiction: the Mantis pulls the target out of quantum travel and stops it from jumping away, the others disable it and board.
Examples : Mantis + a boarding ship

03 · Going furtherOrganized operations with a crew, cargo space for the loot and an escort. Big gains, big losses too.
Examples : Multi-crew ships with a large hold

Mistakes to avoid
- Destroying the target: the cargo goes with it
- Thinking Pyro has no rules: no UEE police, but local factions guard their stations
- Forgetting that with a high CrimeStat, bounty hunters and security will track you down
Copilot's noteYour reputation with Pyro's factions matters: attacking near their stations can shut their doors to you.
