I can't log in

The launcher won't start or update
Get the launcher back on track
- Fully close the launcher (including from the system tray) and restart it.
- Check that your antivirus or firewall isn't blocking it.
- As a last resort, reinstall the launcher: your game files are not deleted.
The game starts but I can't join the universe
Check whether it's on CIG's side
- Look at the official server status page (status.robertsspaceindustries.com).
- If there's an ongoing incident, no point insisting: wait until it's resolved.
- Otherwise, restart the game and try again, possibly picking another server region.
Copilot's noteRight after a patch, logging in is often rough for a few hours.
The game crashes while loading
Repair the install
- In the launcher, run a game file verification.
- Update your graphics card drivers.
- If it keeps happening, rename the game's "user" folder (in LIVE): it will be recreated cleanly. You lose your settings and custom keybinds, so export them first.
