I can't land

I'm not getting clearance
Get landing clearance
- Get closer: the request only works near the station or city.
- Contact ATC from your comms menu ("Request landing").
- If the request is denied, make sure you don't have a CrimeStat.
- Wait a bit and try again: sometimes all the slots are taken.
I can't find my hangar / landing pad
Find your spot
- Once cleared, a marker shows in your HUD: follow it.
- The hangar or pad number is also given in the ATC message.
- Slow down: at high speed it's easy to miss the entrance.
My ship bounces or lands badly
Land cleanly
- Deploy your landing gear before touching down.
- Come in slowly, straight down over your spot.
- Cut upward thrust once you're down.
- On a slope, look for flatter ground.
