I have a CrimeStat (I'm wanted)
Deal with a CrimeStat
- Avoid secure stations and cities: guards and defenses will attack you.
- For a minor offense, pay your fine at a "Fines and Citations" terminal (lawful stations, admin buildings).
- If you die with a CrimeStat of 3 or more, you'll be sent to prison.
- Ways to clear a CrimeStat change between patches: check the current method on the wiki.
Copilot's noteAccidentally shooting a guard or an innocent player is enough to get you wanted: watch your fire in populated areas.
I woke up in prison
Get out of prison
- Your sentence shows in your HUD and goes down over time (normally even while offline).
- You can reduce it by working: gather the requested resources or items and turn them in at the prison terminals.
- Some players try to escape through the tunnels: it's risky and can add to your sentence.
- When your sentence is over, you're released and sent to a starting location.
Copilot's noteYour gear isn't lost, but it isn't with you in prison: remember where you left it.
I don't know why I'm wanted
Understand a CrimeStat
- Open your mobiGlas and check your security status to see the recorded offenses.
- Common causes: entering a restricted area, firing in an armistice zone, ramming another ship, or loitering on someone else's landing pad.
- When in doubt, stay away from secure areas until you've sorted it out.
